Do you own any of Alison Tyler’s Erotic Alphabet Books yet? If not, you’re missing out. These adorable little anthologies look sweet, but the pack a serious erotic punch, thanks to the who’s who list of contributors. If you read and enjoy erotica, you probably loved many of these authors.
And, here’s news that’s even better: Cleis, the publisher of these little gems, is offering a cool contest. You could win all of the first twelve books! Here’s the scoop:
Who says word games can’t be sexy? The alluring covers of the Erotic Alphabet series cry out for special arrangement on the bookshelf. Show us what you can do! Use the covers of the Erotic Alphabet books to spell words — erotic, sexy, romantic or funny. The most creative entry wins all twelve books in the series published to date.
To qualify, send photos of your word by Friday, February 29, 2008 to this email address: cleis (at) cleispress (dot) com and use “Erotic Alphabet Contest” as your subject line.
Can’t wait to see what people come up with. And, check out Jeremy’s words if you need a little inspiration! For all the details, visit Cleis Press.
I have a question — I’ve sent it to Cleis, but they haven’t answered, so I’m hoping you can help. I have a few words I like for the competition but I’m wondering:
It says take a photograph, but that implies you already have the books in question. If you have them, you could want to win them in order to share the joy, but… Can you use screenshots of the covers in your chosen order? I don’t have them, but would really like them. A LOT.
Also, do you think they’d allow you to send more than one word? I have two and can’t choose.
Well, that was stupid. I guess you could say I have two questions. I’ve been writing all day, and my mind is mush.
Oh, gosh, these are great questions. I don’t have answers though, sadly. I’m going to pose them to Alison Tyler, the series editor, and see what I can find out!
Best, s.
